Howard Guo

Hello! My name is Howard Guo. I am currently an Accounting student at The University of Texas at Dallas. I moved to America 8 years ago with my family. It was really hard for me to get into this new environment; I spoke no English when I moved here which made it quite difficult to get along with people. I went to ESL class and learned English little-by-little, and finally conquered this challenge. If you don’t know me, you might think I am an unfriendly person, but actually I’m pretty easy to get along with. My career goal is to be a CPA and do the best I can in my job field. I choose accounting to be my major because I am a detailed person and self-motivated. Before I came to UTD, I learned how to take responsibilities when I worked in a Chinese afterschool program for almost two years, where I took care of 30 kids in my class. I have also learned how to work effectively with people through that experience. Additionally, I am bilingual, know eastern cultural very well. All these personal characters will enable me to effective candidate for your company.
